Jack Gare b. 1874

Also known as John Huntley Gare, J Gare

Glaze specialist who worked on the development of Bendigo Pottery's Langley ware in the 1910s before starting his own pottery in Castlemaine, later working for Bennett's Pottery in Magill, Adelaide.

    Forming the foundation of the Martin Grant exhibition are works from the generous donation of 217 works by the designer in 2023. The gift comprises designs spanning the early 1990s, when he established his eponymous label in Paris, through to his recent and acclaimed autumn-winter 2019 collection.
