The Rev. Theodore Beazeley was an avid amateur photography who also taught the craft in evening 'self-improvement' classes in Ipswich, Queensland in the 1850s. One of his students was Thomas Mathewson.

He taught Thomas Mathewson photography in evening self-improvement classes at Ipswich in 1854-55, and photographs of 1861 are recorded. The Rev. T. Beazeley was presumably connected with Margaret Beazeley .
