Painter, printmaker and designer working in the mid twentieth century. She studied at the National Gallery School in the 1950s and joined the stable of Gallery A, exhibiting first in 1961. She later curated "The Bauhaus: Aspects and Influence" in the same year at the gallery. She also designed a limited edition of tables for Laminex ca.1964.

Description

The 1968 exhibition was curated in 1995 by Michael Desmond and Christine Dixon and was drawn entirely from the National Gallery of Australia’s collection.
It celebrates the time of change, in the two years on either side of 1968 – a time of political and social unrest, when art and life combined to stretch barriers.
The exhibition integrated both popular and avant garde works from Australian artists, designers and news photographers with those from the USA and UK. The resulting exhibition showed the energy and strength of the young Australian artists of this generation.

Robert Lindsay’s series of survey exhibitions were exhibited in a specially adapted area close to the Gallery Society Lounge. Each exhibition concentrated on one contemporary Australian artist and aimed to present a comprehensive survey of their work.
