painter, exhibited two Scottish subjects with the Victorian Fine Arts Society in August 1853: Snow Piece, near Edinburgh and Moonlight, vide 'Old Mortality’ . Both were for sale. The artist was possibly the Mr McKenzie who was assistant to the head teacher Thomas Peppercorn in the School of Art and Design at the Prahran Mechanics Institute during the early 1870s. The school had closed for lack of pupils by 1879.
