cartoonist, was living at Pearl Beach, NSW in 1980-81 when he drew a cartoon of two men in the woodchip industry, with the one at the controls of a gigantic machine counting: ’31,000 tonnes, ... 32,000 … oops! a koala … 33,000 tonnes’. Dated 14 April 1981, it is included among 29 original Bulletin cartoons by Walsh dating from 3 February 1981 to 25 May 1982 and undated (Mitchell Library PXD 739). Used in State Library of New South Wales 1999 b/w art show.
