Dressing Sydney - Sydney Jewish Museum Project

Dressing Sydney looks at the story of Jews in fashion as told to us by over 100 people in the clothing and fashion industry. The exhibition explores the community involvement from the post- war waves of migrants who became part of the industry to the shining success of today’s young Jewish designers. These entrepreneurs have provided employment opportunities and have brought in new concepts and ideas to the industry. You will get a sense of the enormity of the contribution to the Australian fashion industry told from the perspective of designers, manufacturers, retailers, tailors, dressmakers, hawkers, fashion journalists, stylists and second- hand clothing dealers.
