About DAAO Moderators

Moderators are an important part of the DAAO community. They are experts in their field selected by the Editorial Board or by other Moderators.

What can DAAO Moderators do?
• Accept or edit other Members’ contributions. Moderators check the quality and accuracy of DAAO content in their area of expertise and ensure that records meet DAAO’s Contributor Guidelines.
Create and join Projects to collaborate with other Moderators on content pushes.

Here is an explanation of DAAO’s permissions structure.

Role —- Permission Level
Members —- can contribute content or edit existing content
Moderators —- can approve or reject member contributions
Editorial Board—- oversee content and editorial policy
Administrators —- DAAO staff ensure the site operates smoothly

How to Moderate a Record
It’s easy.
First – save records in your area of expertise to your My Moderate List. How?
Then – make sure you’re notifications are turned on. How?
You will be notified when records require moderation. Once you get the notification you simply click on the link and review the changes a member has made. You approve or edit the record, no rewriting is required.
