A collaboration between Wiradjuri Elder, Ngaire (Nyree) Reynolds and Jow Engelman for the “Drawing Togther Awards” held in Canberra in 2007. This painting describes the how land and water are often mismanaged by human activities. The painting was purchased by the Dept of Climate Change and today hangs in the Dept of the Environment in Canberra.

Engelman’s painting titled “This Sacred Place” and her story of the Florence Biennale in 2007 – Engelman states this is the highlight of her art’s career and is an experience that painter’s need to undertake. “This Sacred Place” took out Fifth Premio Pittura at the Biennale and was awarded a Lorenzo il Magnifico medal.
